Luba was born in Tula, Russia. She was adopted at age 10 by an American couple and grew up in Washington, D.C. area. Luba became interested in performing arts when her parents took her to the Shakespeare Theatre to see Shakespeare's Hamlet play at age 12. Luba fell in love with the way the actors moved and spoke on stage.
In middle school and high school she played the clarinet and sang in the choir. She watched music videos and taught herself how to dance.
Luba graduated from the University of Maryland with B.A. in Liberals Arts. After graduating college, she started auditioning for many acting projects in the Mid-Atlantic area.
Luba is a graduate of the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts (NYCDA). In NYC, she has performed at the Producers Club and Roebuck Theater. Recently, she finished filming a lead role in A Promise to Astrid, produced by JCFilms starring Dean Cain.
